My name is Beth, welcome to the Dreaming Earth podcast, I’m so pleased something brought you here !

Until very recently I have worked as a dream worker, and focusing practitioner, but am also in a process of discernment for ordination in the Church of England, and so apart from some voluntary chaplaincy work in my local hospital, and my creative practices, I have decided to focus on that.

I have been an artist all my life, working in many mediums, and the podcast is one of many creative expressions for me - and not at all separate from my priest journey! I began it in 2023, and like my priest journey, it began with the slightly unsettling “calling” feeling that I needed to respond to. It is a particularly amateur offering, and I have a lot to learn about this format !

It is also a great playground for some of my favourite things, and the ways in which they overlap and talk inside me. Those things seem to be my own creation based spirituality, our shared home - the earth, the ways in which we dream, and our dynamic, imaginative capacity as humans. The podcast is shifting, changing and transforming along with me.

I’m a Christian Sufi, and my life is guided by my relationship with God. I spend lots of time out walking with my dogs, and love being among the rest of the life forms we share our home with. The plants, trees, fungi and animals, as well as the geology, weather systems and celestial bodies, give me a deep sense of belonging, meaning and also responsibility. We can experience the created world as the original scripture.
